Fallen angels, not falling knives. This hunts for beaten-down stocks where a rebound actually looks likely — not cheap-and-dying value traps. Every name must clear three trap filters: it can't still be in freefall (it has to have based or turned back up), it can't be in multi-year decline in the SEC filings (revenue, margins, cash flow), and it must show a real rebound signal. Survivors are financially strong and turning up, ranked by a Rebound score first — the winning-chance signal. Data is cross-checked across Yahoo, SEC EDGAR filings, and Stooq (independent price), never a single source.

⚠ No screen can promise a winner — an earnings miss or a market-wide selloff can still stall a recovery. These are high-probability research ideas: size them sensibly and use stops. Not investment advice.

Screens 948 names — every current S&P 500 (503) and Dow (30) member (membership auto-refreshed weekly) plus curated mid-caps — then runs deep fundamental analysis on the ~150 most beaten-down (≥20% off their high). The first run does real balance-sheet work and takes ~40s — then it's cached. Optional: add a free Finnhub or FMP API key in data/keys.json for an independent third fundamentals check.
